For my diy assignment, I picked a knife.

A little picnic and a snack.

I had trouble with the handle and blade. I used a boolean shape for the divot in the rear of the handle. I was able to make the shape, but the measurements were hard to guess. The top of the blade isn’t straight, so the angled offset was hard to align upon. I couldn’t get the blade sheen to be shiny and show the brushed lines. In both, there were strange surface shadings even when there were only quads.
